Industry 4Science 2014

AFO 2014 will open the section of Industry 4Science which includes lectures, workshops and discussions about scientific documentaries and current trends from the field of audio-visual science popularisation to public from 16th till 19th April.

Why are natural sciences so crucial for the humankind? Why to popularise them? And how to bring them closer to the generation Y? The open programme of Industry 4Science will start with answers to those questions at 1:15 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Faculty of Science of the Palacký University. During the Science Stars presentation real stars will be answering the questions: a progressive Canadian biologist and TV host Jennifer Gardy and a Swedish neuroscientist Bechara Saab, who may well become the first astronaut to go to Mars. The all-stars pair will be completed by a leading Czech science populariser of British origin – Michael Londesborough and representatives of Neuron Fund for Support of Science with new information about grant opportunities for young scientists.
