Anthropologist Zdeňka moves with her husband and three sons to Longyearbyen to study the globalisation of the local community. The place, seemingly a new home at first, faces melting icebergs, coal mine closures, and increasing resettlement. Zdeňka uncovers local conflicts and complex relationships through intriguing interviews. Can she help where she is not welcome?
