Sound is ScienceFilmEnglish friendly
The roots of electronic music date back to a few often ignored visionaries who, through their technological experiments, started a revolution and redefined the way music is produced today.
A collage of archival footage will introduce you to D. Oram, B. Barron, S. Ciani, L. Spiegel, D. Derbyshire (creator of the original Doctor Who theme) and other trailblazing composers in their fascinating approach to sound, whose influence is still evident in music today. However, the documentary does not merely map the development of the genre but presents a timeless testimony to the position of women in the music industry and society in general.
