Genesis 2.0 / Genesis 2.0

"Life will find its way.” But should it? Genesis 2.0 asks similar questions as Ian Malcolm in the cult film Jurassic Park. It shows that Spielberg's great film may soon no longer be sci-fi. In Genesis 2.0, two parallels loosely connect the lines depicting the lives of two brothers. Peter Grigorjev is one of the most experienced adventurers searching for mammoth remains on the New Siberian Islands. His brother Semjan, a paleontologist, has his dream: bring the great mammoth back to life with genetic engineering. Thematically, formally, and musically different lines tangle together and gradually create an image of the possibly beneficial and dangerous consequences of people playing God.
