They fought for the freedom of Czechoslovakia in a war, but are barely remembered at present. They often did not even receive any war veteran recognition. And despite this they are still interested in Czech affairs. A quite large number of the Czechoslovakians who emigrated after the communist coup in 1948 and after August 1968 fought in the Czechoslovakian army during WWII. Many of them have returned to the country in the post-communist era, but some of them stayed abroad for various reasons. While the former members of the British not yet received their due attention.
