How would Earth look like without us? Without pollution and destruction of biodiversity, pure, and unspoiled? The Okavango Delta, one of the few places untouched by man, is ever shrinking. What can we do to save it? “I have seen what the world would be without us. It was a fundamental moment,” says Steve Boyes, the protagonist of Into the Okavango and expedition leader the film captures. The goal was to explore the river system that provides water to the delta, discover the cause of shrinking, and save this unspoiled piece of land. We follow the individual expedition members on their four-month journey through three African states, which poses a greater challenge than any of them had imagined.
