Science Matters

At AFO, we recognize the importance of everyday scientific work. That’s why this section is dedicated to current research and education – creating a space where universities and research institutions can share their successes and challenges with the public.

Designed to bridge the gap between scientists and society, Science Matters offers a closer look at the world of science and innovation through expert talks, presentations by emerging talents, discussion panels and workshops. This year, we focus on two pressing questions: How does society perceive new technologies? And how do scientific discoveries enter the public domain? We also explore the role of various media in education, from communicating science to seniors to examining the responsibilities of universities and research institutions in today’s world. This section is a hub for fresh perspectives, inspiration, and connections—highlighting the ways science shapes our lives and our future.
