PRAGUE SCIENCE FILM FEST
The festival cooperation between the Palacký University in Olomouc and the Czech University of Life Sciences began in 2020 as a part of the 55th AFO festival during the pandemic, which took place online and joined the programme of both festivals on the Watch & Know platform. ČZU has been organising the festival on its university campus since 2011 under the name Life Sciences Film Festival and later ČZU Film Fest. Last year, the event changed its name to Prague Science Film Fest. The entire cooperation of our festivals culminates with the Grand Prize awarded to the winning film of both the last year’s AFO competition and the international competition of PSFF. The Grand Prize comes with an impressive financial reward of $10 000. Prague Science Film Fest features primarily films focused on life sciences and the relationship between man and nature. This year’s programme will be announced shortly. So far, we can give away that, among other things, it will be thematically focused on food in the context of landscape and the environment.
