Miro Remo studied documentary film directing at the Academy of Performing Arts. During his studies, he made the short film Arsy-Versy, which won over 30 awards at various international film festivals and became one of the school’s most successful films of all time. In 2014, he completed his feature-length debut Comeback, which captures the new life start of two men whose prospects for the future were put on hold by a long prison sentence. The film is noted for being shown in the competition section at KVIFF. In his satirical documentary Cooltúra (2016), Remo observed the meaning and state of Slovak popular culture. His next documentary, Richard Müller: Unknown (2016), received the Czech Film Critics Award and was shortlisted for the Sun in a Net Award for Best Documentary. He is also involved in medium-length works for television (Vrbovian Wind/ Vrbovský veter, Pohoda, etc.).
