Psychiatrist and psychotherapist Jiří Horáček leads the National Institute of Mental Health in Czechia. His research is based on functional imaging of the brain, and his areas of interest include neurobiology of schizophrenia and depression, the mechanisms behind the effects of antipsychotic medication and psychedelics, modelling neural tissue activity, and the behavioural effects of psychoactive substances.
