The sound installation in specific space examines how our current society is influenced by memory and how this manifests in history connected to collective memory. It represents a cross-disciplinary overlap of a work shaped by various factors and events of the past.
The present sound considers the motif of a bell on various levels—historical, material-physical, and choreographic. There are stories shown of remelting bells for munition, from the initial ore to the final sound and back, when the necessity of transforming bell-makers into gunsmiths and human creativity in replacing the missing bells were crucial. Bells as warning systems, ratchets, and semantrons. Listen to a new script on the record.
