This year, our music section continues to push boundaries, blending sound with emotion, art, and science. The lineup weaves together the explosive energy of electronic sets, the hypnotic melancholy of art-pop, the rawness of post-punk guitars, and layered beats oscillating between minimalism and global pop. Carefully curated, it features artists unafraid of bold musical confrontations – moving between experimental soundscapes, cinematic atmospheres, and deconstructed club rhythms. A new collaboration with Full Moon magazine adds fresh insights into current music trends, offering a roadmap to undiscovered gems, while keen ears may catch a few unforgettable déjà vu along the way.
“We have been following the AFO off programme for many years with respect and admiration, so our Full Moon magazine team happily accepted the offer to participate in it. We tried to approach the AFO 2025 music programme traditionally, as with all events we curate – emphasising local and current interprets without limiting ourselves by genre or other aspects. Artists like Dukla, Kodiki, SJ Yellow or Temný Rudo belong among the best you can be lucky to witness on domestic stages, and OGmiaG or Dasa bring young blood with great expectations. For example, Slovak musician Erika Rein was recently nominated in three Radio_Head Awards categories for her album Kamibe (released by the Full Moon label). We have been discussing a possible Czech concert with Estonian musician Mart Avi for several years, and Full Moon magazine has been reporting regularly on his recordings and activities for nearly a decade. The time for his domestic premiere has finally come; better late than never. I believe that AFO is a perfect time and place for his futuristic pop that will fit greatly with the local atmosphere,” said Michal Pařízek, editor-in-chief of Full Moon magazine, about this year’s line-up.

SELENoLAr is an electronic music duo based in Prague, consisting of bedroom producer, promoter, and DJ, Weimar, and vocalist Wiki. While their music is largely shaped by intentional accidents, SELENoLAr likes to think they are diverging from established forms of club music.
Their debut album, Dissymetria, is living proof of their experimental nature. Beginning with soft sounds, the album transitions into club music, showcasing their refusal to compromise when it comes to…anything.

Sailing from mainstream sounds, Erika Rein crafts a musical universe where pop seamlessly merges with bold experimentation. Her latest album gracefully balances avant-pop, R&B and hyperpop, held together by a core of playful authenticity. Erika builds on traditional Roma music, paying tribute to her roots. She will be joined by Isobutane, one of Slovakia’s most acclaimed electronic music talents. In the concert version, her album Kamibe transforms into a rich blend of nostalgia and modern broken beats.
Mart Avi is the twilight samurai of alternative pop, known for making spiky and mysterious music for the feet and heart, for living and loving.
He grew up in a pint-sized Estonian village named Vara (“Treasure” in English), toying around with rusty remnants from its industrious past that informed his aesthetics in creating another space, using topographies close at hand. Mapping uncharted territories between modern pop and timeless grandeur, Avi, as a sound master and singer-songwriter, is simultaneously suave and slippery. His shimmering melodies, crackling rhythms and off-kilter mindgames tend to seduce the unawares. A consummate performer, he presents a fascinating paradox of soulful tenderness pulsing beneath commanding arm thrusts and menacing high kicks. Avi’s solo records have consistently topped annual critics’ polls in his homeland and garnered rave reviews worldwide, from MOJO to The Quietus and Electronic Sound. Late 2024 saw the release of Death of Music, a joint double LP in collaboration with Ajukaja, the reverend of Estonia’s adventurous underground.
As a Slovak native, DASA moved to London in 2016 to study music at Goldsmiths University, and has since been involved in a variety of music projects. She has performed at cult venues such as The Windmill or The Sebright Arms, sharing bills with artists like Katy J Pearson, piglet, and Enjoyable Listens. In 2019 she decided to begin her own venture as an artist and now has a handful of original material under her belt. Her debut EP ‘Come Through’ is the outcome of a two year experimentation in the studio with musicians such as Seth Evans (black midi), cellist Mat Roberts, and producer Nathan Ridley. Since the release, DASA has gained support from the popular Slovak radio station ‘Radio FM’ and was nominated as ‘Best New Artist’ by the Radiohead Awards. Following her debut EP, she released the alt-pop infused single ‘wife now’, released on London label Practice Music. Her most recent EP ‘first blush’ was released on March 5th 2025, and was made in collaboration with producers Joseph Futak and Oliver Torr.
Prague-based Dukla delivers guitar-driven pop infused with the spirit of new wave, post-punk, and the raw energy of ‘90s alternative rock – all wrapped in a contemporary club aesthetic. With a string of singles and EPs to their name, their album Honza earned them critical praise and a nomination for the Apollo Music Award for Album of the Year 2020. The band released a new album on 16 February 2024 under the Bumbum Satori label. With the album, which has also been released on vinyl, the band went on an extensive spring tour in Czechia and Slovakia. It shows a shift towards club music while maintaining its distinctive melodies and nostalgic lyrics that reflect life in the city with admitted naivety.
26-year-old multi-artist and performer OGmiaG, based in Prague, Czech Republic. It’s hard to put her in a box or define her by just one music genre. Nowadays, she’s mainly experimenting with various forms of rap & R’n’B music.
“Music is one of my therapies. I do my thing—it helps me live the life I want to live. My music and live shows reflect my opinions, dance skills & attitude.”
Temný Rudo is one of the pieces of the alternative rap puzzle in Slovakia. His signature sound blends moody, atmospheric beats with elements of phonk and trap, creating a style that resonates with the darker corners of the genre. Sharing the stage with artists like Dušan Vlk and David-San, Rudo has steadily built a reputation for his introspective and hypnotic beats. In May 2024, he dropped his debut album každý živý tvor na zemi zomiera sám, followed by his highly anticipated sophomore release in memoriam in March 2025.
