Petr Hříbek

A gastroenterologist specializing in the screening and early diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers

Petr Hříbek works in the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Metabolism at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, and the Military University Hospital in Prague. After graduating, he joined the team of Professor Zavoral, who was one of the main founders of colorectal cancer screening in the Czech Republic. He routinely performs screening colonoscopies. His professional interests include screening and early diagnosis of malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, biliary tract, and pancreas. He serves on the board of the Society for Gastrointestinal Oncology, whose primary mission is to improve and streamline preventive and screening programs.
