Heidi Fleisher

Heidi Fleisher is a freelance American producer and consultant based in France with over 20 years of experience in documentary film, spanning acquisitions, production, sales and training. Her work focuses on creative documentaries that blend the emotion of the human experience with a distinctive artistic vision.

She formerly handled international acquisitions for France Télévision’s feature doc strand « 25 Shades of Docs » from its launch in 2017 until 2019, worked as head of sales & acquisitions for ARTE Sales, as a development exec in Los Angeles, and head of emerging producer initiatives for Sunny Side of the Doc

Heidi is a board member of Eurodoc, a media expert for American Film Showcase, and often intervenes as a mentor, curator, reader, consultant and expert for industry events, workshops and film institutions such as Arte, CPH:DOX, Cannes Docs, EFM Toolbox, Points North, WEMW, SDI, BFI, Hot Docs Blue Ice, SODEC, DW Akademie, CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator, etc. She also continues to work as a consultant providing creative, editorial and strategic consulting to film teams.

Producing / co-producing credits include feature docs EL CASTILLO by Martin Benchimol (Berlinale 2022), WAKE UP ON MARS by Dea Gjinovci (Tribeca 2020), DON’T BREATHE by Nino Kirtadze (TIFF 2014), as well as the multi-authored recently released short doc series ELEMENTAL with Sandbox Films (USA).
