Gita Matlášková

Project coordinator for Living Rivers, conservationist

Gita studied biology and conservation at Palacký University in Olomouc. She is primarily interested in the conservation of biodiversity and endangered habitats, and has been involved in the nonprofit sector for over ten years. She has been with Arnika since 2023 as part of the Living Rivers team. In addition to the topic of natural rivers, she is also involved in the conservation of European primeval forests at the Department of Forest Ecology (Czech University of Life Sciences Prague) and has long collaborated with the Czech Union for Nature Conservation (ČSOP) on the direct management of protected areas. In her free time, she focuses on issues related to palm oil in Indonesia and the conservation of nature there.
