Irem Couchouron

Head of Programming & Industry at the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival.

As the Head of Programming & Industry at the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival, taking place annually in Halle(Saale), Germany, Irem is responsible for the overall programming and scheduling of the festival, as well as the curation of its Film and performing arts programme, with the aim to render science accessible to the general public, and encouraging the dialogue and collaboration between scientists and media professionals. Prior to that, Irem has served as Head of International Development of Sunny Side of the Docs, in France, focusing editorially on specialist factual genre and immersive content, and has gained extensive experience and strong knowledge on the international co-productions. Double majored in Film Studies and Arts & Culture Management, she lives in Berlin, and speaks Turkish, English and French.
