Vladimír Kolář Kusbach

Scientific researcher of rock deformation and popularizer of geosciences.

Since 2011 he has been a researcher in the ROCKS research team at the Institute of Geophysics AV ČR, where he focuses on deformation and rheology (strength and creep) of rocks from different parts of the Earth’s crust. He focuses on microstructural studies, which are an important tool for deciphering the past evolution of rocks. In addition to his main research activities, he also tries to encourage interest in geoscience in the coming generation by participating in Otevřená Věda or Den Pro Školu projects.
