Water Resource Manager, Landscape Ecologist, Conservationist

Michal Krejčí, M.A., has long worked at the intersection of nature conservation and water resource management, where he strives to protect and restore rivers in the open countryside and to provide flood protection for towns and cities through nature-based river management and the integration of waterways into the urban fabric of settlements. After graduating from Palacký University in Olomouc, he gained experience as a landscape ecologist and water manager at the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area Administration. He subsequently spent two decades working in the private sector and local government, while also leading the non-governmental organization Union for the Morava River. Since October 2023, he has held the position of water manager at the Agency for Nature and Landscape Protection in Olomouc, and for the past year has been overseeing the restoration of watercourses in the Jeseník region.
