Kamil Fila

Czech film reviewer, critic and educator

He studied Theory and History of Film and Audiovisual Culture at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno. He contributed as a freelancer to Cinema magazine, and worked as an editor at Cinepur, Aktuálně.cz, Respekt and Kinobox. In 2005 he co-authored a book on David Lynch titled Temné stránky duše, and in 2024 he published a book trilogy called Velmi pozdní odpoledne, dedicated to the MeToo movement both in Hollywood and in the Czech Republic. He is currently the dramaturg of Kaplicky Cinema in Česká Skalice and writes for Deník N.
