Czech film director and actor

He first drew attention as a child actor in the film Páni Edisoni (1987) and in the title role of Kvido in Báječná léta pod psa (1997). After graduating from the Prague Conservatory, he worked as an actor, voice actor, and musician before gradually transitioning into directing. In recent years, he has focused primarily on documentary filmmaking and television projects. He has directed series such as Mise hledání lásky (2025, Czech Television), Příběhy starých hospod (2023–2024), Ikony českého designu, Technické památky českých zemí, and Myslivost: Neznámé příběhy, as well as travel series including V karavanu po Slovensku, Česku, Maďarsku, Polsku, Slovinsku (2020–2026). His most recent work is the portrait documentary Já, bratr a jméno Hrušínský. For the television film Postoloprty 1945 – česká odplata, he received the Czech-German Journalism Award for 2023.
