Erik Baláž has devoted his life to understanding and protecting Slovakia’s magnificent wilderness. A passionate ecologist and environmental advocate, he brings nature’s stories to life through his work as both a filmmaker and author. His deep connection to the forest began during his university years, where he completed his studies in Forest Ecology, focusing particularly on bears – a subject that would become close to his heart through his research and fieldwork.
