Michal Vorlíček

A skateboarder and lecturer at the Faculty of Physical Culture at Palacký University, who teaches skateboarding and studies its role in active transportation

Michal Vorlíček has been involved in skateboarding since the late 1990s, when he started out as a rider and gradually made his way into the competitive scene. While studying at the Faculty of Physical Culture at Palacký University in Olomouc, his focus shifted toward teaching and working with children—he founded a skateboarding camp and also explored the biomechanics of skateboarding in both his bachelor’s and master’s theses. Today, he teaches at the Faculty of Physical Culture at Palacký University, and his research focuses on active transportation, which includes skateboarding.
