Sára Filipová

PhD student in Medical Chemistry and Clinical Biochemistry at Palacký University Olomouc

During her master’s studies, Sára Filipová intensively researched endometriosis. Using analytical methods, she searched for potential blood markers that could enable the diagnosis of this chronic disease from blood samples in the future, without the need for surgical procedures. She also gained experience in clinical research during an internship at the University Hospital in Oslo, Norway. She received the UP Rector’s Award for her thesis. Today, she focuses on the topic of endometriosis mainly through the popularization of science.
