Director of the Nejste sami (You are not alone) mobile hospice

Vladimíra Foukalová is the director of the Nejste sami mobile hospice in Olomouc, which provides specialized palliative care to terminally ill patients in their home environment. She has been working as the director of the hospice since 2022 and, together with a team of doctors, nurses, and other professionals, is dedicated to developing mobile hospice care in the region. In her work, she has long focused on supporting patients and their families at the end of life and on developing multidisciplinary cooperation in palliative care. She believes that even the last period of life can be filled with closeness, respect, and dignity. “The greatest gift we can give is to be with a person in moments when words are no longer enough,” she says about the work of the hospice team.
