  1. The Accredited Participant acknowledges that Palacký University in Olomouc, as the data controller of its personal data (hereinafter the “Data Controller”), processes its personal data provided in the accreditation form during the process of accreditation using such form and according to the applicable legal regulations, namely the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter the “GDPR”), and it does so for legal reasons and purposes specified in Article 6(1b) of the GDPR, related record keeping and internal communication of the Data Controller and for the purpose of retaining the accreditation form containing the aforementioned personal data as an accounting document under Section 31(2b) of Act No. 563/1991 Sb., on Accounting, as amended, for 5 years, starting with the year following the end of the accounting period in which the accounting document arises (i.e. the end of 2022), i.e. in order to comply with legal obligations of the Data Controller under Article 6(1c) of the GDPR.
  2. The Accredited Participant also acknowledges that the Data Controller designated the Head of the Rector’s Office Division at Palacký University in Olomouc, Křížkovského 511/8, 779 00 Olomouc (email address:dpo@upol.cz) as the data protection officer.
  3. The Accredited Participant acknowledges that the aforementioned personal data are processed in an automated and electronic manner using the Data Controller’s economic information system by employees of the Palacký University in Olomouc participating in the production of AFO and employees working at the Accounts Office of Faculty of Arts at Palacký University in Olomouc. The Data Controller does not disclose the aforementioned personal data provided by the Accredited Participant to any other natural or legal entity, public authority or other entity. The Data Controller does not intend to transfer the Accredited Participant’s personal data to any third country or international organisation.
  4. The Accredited Participant acknowledges the following information on the processing of his or her aforementioned personal dat
    • the Accredited Participant has the right to ask the Data Controller to provide information on processing his or her personal data.
    • under Article 15 of the GDPR, the Accredited Participant has the right to obtain from the Data Controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and related information defined in Article 15(1a-h) of the GDPR. Under Article 15 of the GDPR, the Accredited Participant also has the right to obtain a copy of the personal data undergoing processing at no cost.
    • under Article 16 of the GDPR, the Accredited Participant has the right to obtain from the Data Controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning him or her. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, the Accredited Participant shall have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.
    • the Accredited Participant has the right to obtain from the Data Controller the erasure of personal data concerning him or her without undue delay and the Data Controller shall have the obligation to erase personal data without undue delay where one of the following grounds under Article 17 of the GDPR applies:

    a) the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed;
    b) the Accredited Participant objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21(1) of the GDPR and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or the Accredited Participant objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21(2) of the GDPR;
    c) the personal data have been unlawfully processed;
    d) the personal data have to be erased for compliance with a legal obligation in European Union or Member State law to which the Data Controller is subject.

    •  the Accredited Participant has the right to obtain from the Data Controller restriction of processing where one of the grounds defined in Article 18(1) of the GDPR applies.
    • according to the provisions in Article 34 of the GDPR, the Accredited Participant has the right to be informed of any data breach provided such data breach is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons.
    • if the Accredited Participant deems its personal data are processed in violation of the GDPR, it has, under Article 77 of the GDPR, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of his or her habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged violation. The supervisory authority in the Czech Republic is the Office for Personal Data Protection.
  5. The Accredited Participant acknowledges that detailed information on the personal data protection at Palacký University in Olomouc is available at https://www.upol.cz/en/university/data-protection/.
  6. By participating in the entire programme of Academia Film Olomouc and its off-programme parts, the Accredited Participant agrees to have his or her photograph or video recording taken at the festival venues for the duration of the festival and the Accredited Participant also agrees that such materials may be published and further used by Academia Film Olomouc for promotional purposes.
  7. All Accredited Participants must observe the Visitor Rules of Academia Film Olomouc. These rules are based on generally applicable and binding regulations.
