Tereza Bernátková

A documentary filmmaker who uses archival materials in her films as a vivid source of insights into the past

Tereza Bernátková graduated from Documentary Directing at FAMU in Prague. Her films were twice part of selection at Jihlava IDFF. She collaborated with Czech TV on several films based on archival material. Whether in The History of the Czech Communist Party or in her other films, Tereza approaches archives as a lively source of alternative, off-modern histories that challenge dominant narratives.
