    Peter Krämer from the Leicester Media School, De Montfort University returns to AFO. This year his talk focuses on Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, which was developed in collaboration with the theoretical physicist Kip Thorne.
    The film provides a science-based vision of what the future might hold for humanity: huge space stations and the colonization of distant planets, communication with the future and the past, but also an environmental catastrophe on Earth. How can we make sense of this film in the context of renewed real-world efforts to get people into space, while global warming negatively impacts the lives of millions of people with a possible, even likely, all-encompassing global climate disaster ahead of us?
