Janet Tobias

Janet Tobias is an American filmmaker who has won an Emmy Award for her work.

She began her career on the CBS news program 60 Minutes. She was then transferred to PBS. There, she worked as the creator and executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning program Life 360. In 2012, she made her film debut with No Place on Earth, which premiered at TIFF. It was introduced by Magnolia Pictures in the USA and by Senator in Europe. Her latest documentary Unseen Enemy was screened at Copenhagen and the Beijing International Film Festival. It was broadcast on five continents in a total of nine languages. Among other things, it was also screened at the 53rd AFO. Both films were nominated for the Writers Guild Awards. Janet Tobias is also a professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a researcher at Global Public Health at NYU.
