Psychiatrist Klára Vyhnánková focuses on the reasearch of post-traumatic stress disorder in refugees.
Klára Vyhnánková is a young psychiatrist. During her studies she spent several months on internships in East Timor, Mexico, Kenya, or Nepal, leading her to the field of transcultural psychiatry, which focuses on cultural differences in the symptoms and treatment of mental illness. After studying medicine, she spent several months at the Competence Centre for Transcultural Psychiatry in Denmark, where she dedicated her work to researching post-traumtic stress disorder in refugee men and women. She currently works at the psychiatric hospital in Bohnice.
