Archie Baron

Archie Baron runs London-based factual indie Wingspan Productions founded in 2008.

He previously co-ran Takeaway Media after a decade as in-house director and series producer at the BBC. As director and executive producer he has won multiple British and international awards and nominations for films as varied as Alexander Solzhenitsyn-The Homecoming, Motherland – A Genetic Journey, Joanna Lumley in the Land of the Northern Lights, The Joy of Logic and Our Gay Wedding – The Musical. He conceived and exec’ed Computer Says Show, Beyond the Fence and Don’t Panic-How to End Poverty in 15 Years, all screened at AFO. At AFO57, he will present a case study of his film Vaccine – The Inside Story (2021) on Friday April 29, at 11:00 at the Corpus Christi Chapel.
