Tomáš Daněk

Tomáš Daněk is a study advisor and coordinator of the environmental branch of ESUR studies at Palacký University in Olomouc.

He graduated from the Faculty of Education at UP and obtained a PhD in Humanitarian Environmental Studies at Masaryk University. He has extensive experience in teaching and implementing projects in the field of environmental philosophy and ethics. His current research focuses on the Anthropocene and cultural ecosystem services. He is the author of numerous publications in the field, including studies on the transformations of Western thinking about nature and the relationship between environmental issues and the philosophy of science. His professional interests also include the interdisciplinarity of anthropology and sociology in relation to development issues, conservation biology with an emphasis on the conservation of wetlands, and the study of the work of C.G. Jung.
